Alpine Plants

At Bauer's Forever Flowers Perennial Farm, we are pleased to now offer Alpine Plants and Dwarf Conifers.

We will be selling the alpines and dwarf conifers individually and also pre-potted into faux stone containers called hypertufa troughs.

Alpine plants are generally small and miniature plants that come from the mountains of the world. Because of their dwarf habit, they are perfectly suited for trough gardens.

Trough gardening originated in England in the 1900's where British gardeners discovered that old stone troughs were ideal for growing their alpine plant collections. Today, the hypertufa troughs make an excellent way to display and care for alpine plants and dwarf conifers.
